KENYA SEED COMPANY AMONG AGRICULTURE STAKEHOLDERS HOSTING FARMERS CLINICS IN MT KENYA REGION FROM 18th – 21st JUNE 2021
Agriculture, a key part of the Big Four Agenda, has been at the fore front of uniting stakeholders in both the National and County Governments.
This week, the various stakeholders in the sector will converge in Mt Kenya region to conduct farmer training and clinics and assess progress from previous work done in the region.
It is one of the areas where KSC seeks to expand its market reach and visibility acknowledging most of the population in the area practice agriculture as the main source of income.
Previously, KSC has had various successful projects in the region such as the Muthara Water Project in Tigania East, Meru County to enable farmers in the region have adequate water supply for consumption and farming.
Gains have been achieved through the establishment of Depots in Karatina & Meru Towns respectively enabling efficiency in supply of our products.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives in partnership with allied agriculture stakeholders facilitated through Kenya Dairy Board and Kenya Seed will hold a three day event in the region starting from 18th – 21st June 2021 to sensitize farmers on appropriate agro economic practices & modern ways of farming using certified quality seeds.
